  • Christmas in April
    Staff and volunteers help fix-up homes and recycle building materials in state of Arizona. Steve Sanchez and Master Marble donate granite countertops. Year round program. Pura Vida No Pro (PVNP) “Surf for the Kids”, annual fundraising events, donate proceeds to provide empowerment and funding to orphanages around the world. Planned activity for 2003: Fund raiser Silent Auction in October 2003 to raise funds for Hearts of Stone.
  • Habitat for Humanity
    Building low cost housing benefits the organization and community that we assist. On-going projects in the greater Phoenix area by the staff of Hearts of Stone, Steve Sanchez and Master Marble and HOS volunteers.
  • West Valley Child Crisis Center (WVCCC)
    Created a new facility with eight separate casitas for children. Steve Sanchez, Master Marble and Hearts of Stone volunteers donated granite countertops and the Sponsor’s logo in granite for each casita. Benefited the non-profit organization and the community. November, 2002 in Glendale, Arizona.
  • Tumbleweed, helps at-risk teens get on the right track.
    Shadowing/Apprenticeship program
    Area businesses invite high school students to observe their professions for a day, or take on an apprentice for a few months. Provides support, coaching and empowerment to non-profits, children and the greater Phoenix area community, fall 2001 by Janet Garcia, Tumbleweed, Patty Magdaleno, and Eric Helda, Hearts of Stone.
  • Seven Winds, “One heart, one mind to all mankind”
    Vision quest and rite of passage ceremonies for youth at a working cattle ranch in southern Colorado. Provides on-going support, coaching and empowerment to non-profits, children and the community. Robert Craig, Hearts of Stone.
  • GAIN Events
    Annual “Neighborhood Night Out” enhances safety, relationships and economy of South Mountain Village Precinct by Mario Ancich, City of Phoenix Police Department. Provides support and empowerment to non-profits, children and the community.
  • Business Alliance Career Days
    An effort to introduce local businesses to high school students and assist them in developing an awareness of education, skill, work environment and workplace competencies required by businesses. March, 2001, Independence High School, Glendale, Arizona. Donna Davis, Jobs for Valley Youth, Hearts of Stone.
  • Church kitchen remodel
    7
    th Day Adventist Church, Pastor Cleophas C. Mims, South Mountain Village, provide support and donations to benefit the public and the community, summer, 2001.
  • Speaking Tour
    Speaking to high school students, teachers and administrators to introduce the joys of “doing what you love” as an entrepreneur. Strengthens the business community, the public and the students by providing positive role models, useful career transitions and resources that ensure our nation is globally competitive. On-going, 2002, 2003. Statewide. Steve Sanchez.
  • Noah’s Ark Sanctuary
    Design and build a refuge for mentally ill persons to provide a sanctuary surrounded by beauty, peace, support, care and assistance needed to live fulfilling lives. On-going, beginning in 2000, Central Phoenix, Kathleen Shiloh.
  • Maggie’s Place
    Assist with remodel of house of hospitality for expectant women. Steve Sanchez and Master Marble donated granite for kitchen and bathroom countertops. Hearts of Stone provided support to representatives of non-profit organization that benefits the public and community. Mid-2000, Phoenix, AZ.
